White & Wild plants a tree on behalf of our customers, for every fifty 2 litre bottles of milk you purchase. This gives you the opportunity to do your bit for your local area’s conservation and to help reduce your family’s carbon footprint by planting native British broad-leaved trees.

Cause for Concern

Trees are the longest-living organisms on our planet. They are beautiful and integral to our planet’s ecosystem. Without them our landscape would be a barren and desolate place. A treeless landscape would not only mean a loss of beauty it would also deplete our environment of a host of wild animals, plants and insects that depend on trees for their very existence.

Over the past 50 years, 45% of our ancient, semi-natural woodland has been cleared or converted to commercial plantations. This drastic loss has been compounded by the further nineteen million trees that were blown down in the storms of 1987 and 1990. It is estimated that more than thirty million trees have been killed by Dutch Elm Disease.

In our countryside we need more trees for wildlife habitats and to enhance the beauty of our valuable Scottish landscapes.

Why Plant Trees?

  • To improve the natural beauty of our valuable Scottish landscapes.
  • To create wildlife habitats for a whole host of Scottish birds, mammals and insects.
  • Help offset your family’s carbon footprint
